"The realist approach is becoming more and more popular with researchers studying complex interventions. We have mobilized the principles of this approach in evaluating the conditions of the production of interdisciplinary work effects in cancerology teams, which is a typical example of a complex intervention in a health system that is complex on its own. Principles of the realist approach based on the elaboration of configurations between context (C), mechanisms (M) and effects (E) (C+M=E) appear to be better fitted for decision-making or research data-based action. However, elaboration of these configurations poses significant challenges for researchers. The objective of this presentation is to discuss key concepts of the realist approach, mobilized in evaluating a complex intervention using the example of interdisciplinary work in cancerology teams. This presentation takes a reflexive approach concerning learning “on and in practice”."
