Abstract

Unlike Brazil, where nurses follow a direct path to a research career, from a bachelor’s degree to a master’s, doctorate and postdoctorate degree, the path to nursing science research in Quebec remains less travelled and thus less defined. This presentation aims to demystify the work of nurse researchers, to highlight their intrinsic qualities and to suggest avenues to establish the first steps towards one’s own research path.
