Léonie Matteau, a graduate of the Master’s in Nursing Science program at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR) and a RRISIQ student member, has recently been awarded the Gold Medal from the Governor General's Academic Medal program

The Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN) recently announced the recipients of its 2023 Excellence Awards. Ms. José Côté, scientific co-director of RRISIQ, and Ms. Anita Gagnon, a regular member of RRISIQ, were honored with awards. Presented annually, these awards aim to acknowledge and recognize nurses' hard work and dedication nationally.

Christine Maheu, RN, Ph.D., and her colleagues have recently been recognized for the exceptional quality of their article published in the Canadian Oncology Nursing Journal and its significant contribution to improving nursing practices in oncology. The award was presented by the Canadian Association of Nurses in Oncology. The announcement was made publicly on October 22nd at Niagara Falls (Ontario) during the association's annual conference.

The findings from an oral presentation to which two regular members of RRISIQ contributed, Ms. Tanya Mailhot, RN, Ph.D., and Mr. Patrick Lavoie, RN, Ph.D., have been the subject of a press release circulated in over 600 newspapers worldwide! The presentation occurred at the European Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) Congress 2023 on September 18th in Barcelona (Spain). It was presented by Ms. Sylvie Cossette, RN, Ph.D., scientific co-director of RRISIQ from 2012 to 2020 and editor-in-chief of the journal SScience of Nursing and Health Practices / Science infirmière et pratiques en santé from 2020 to 2022.
