We are pleased to inform you that Maud-Christine Chouinard (Université du Québec à Chicoutimi) and Geneviève Roch (Université Laval) have recently been appointed leaders for RRISIQ’s Strategic group 2: Accessibility, continuity and safety in care. Carl-Ardy Dubois and Caroline Larue, from Université de Montréal, had held this position since 2012. We wish to thank them for their work and their contribution to this group.

Maud-Christine Chouinard is a nurse and full professor for the Module des sciences infirmières at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.  She carries out most of her research work at the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. She is also involved with the Centre de recherche de l’Hôpital Charles LeMoyne. Her work focuses on the organization of services for people suffering from chronic diseases, especially in primary care, offering new care and intervention perspectives in areas such as case management of large healthcare service users and support for self-management, using approach that focuses on the individual in collaboration with clinical settings and patient partners.

Geneviève Roch is a nurse and associate professor at the Faculté des sciences infirmières at Université Laval. She is involved as a regular researcher with the axe Santé des populations et pratiques optimales en santé (SP-POS) at CHU de Québec-Université Laval and also with the Centre de recherche sur les soins et les services de première ligne de l'Université Laval (CERSSPL-UL) and the Centre de recherche du CISSS de Chaudière-Appalaches. Her research focuses on the optimisation of health practices and services through integrated mobilization and implementation of knowledge aiming to support best clinical and organizational decisions. Her expertise combines health services management and knowledge transfer, primarily in the area of perinatality and the continuum of services between health establishments and other network services partners.
