In this issue, the Editor-in-Chief, José Côté, RN. Ph.D., and the Managing Editor, Mélina Bernier, M. A. Social Intervention, discuss how the journal is positioning itself within the great challenges posed to scientific literature by the Open Access Movement.

International, open-access, bilingual and free for both readers and authors, SNAHP encourages "the democratization of research by accessible research results" to the broader community. Released twice a year, SNAHP publishes research articles, systematic literature reviews and knowledge transfer articles that assess the impact of projects aiming to improve clinical or organizational practices.

The journal was created by RRISIQ in a spirit of openness and in the aim of fostering knowledge sharing and exchanges between researchers, professionals, and practitioners operating in the health field, as well as the general public.
