This conference discusses the end of a research project on the deployment of advanced practice nurse practitioners (IPSPL) in Quebec. The project is based on a systematic review of the international literature and a multiple case study in six regions of Quebec. The six themes that need to be taken into account to support the deployment of IPSPLs and ensure the success of this intervention are discussed, namely the preparation of the reception, the role definition, the model patient tracking, collaboration, support and other factors. Elements, such as governance and leadership, fostering a long-term development of IPSPLs role and deployment of a strategic vision for the nurse to optimize front-line services will be discussed.
