A supplement containing 26 abstracts of communications presented at the 8th Secrétariat international des infirmières et infirmiers de l’espace francophone (SIDIIEF) World Congress was recently published for the journal Science of Nursing and Health Practices - Science infirmière et pratiques en santé. These abstracts, published in French, have been peer-reviewed and accepted by the SIDIIEF scientific committee. Sylvie Cossette, Editor-in-Chief of the journal, wrote in the editorial included in this supplement that "these abstracts were selected based on their quality, to best represent the countries or continents involved in the congress or based on major issues for health practices."

The latest edition of the SIDIIEF congress took place from October 16 to 20 in Ottawa (Canada). Under the theme "Creating Health: The Power of Nursing Knowledge," around 1500 people from about 30 French-speaking countries registered to attend. Clinical experts, healthcare leaders, and researchers gathered to discuss the nursing contribution to complex health needs and issues. The previous edition of the SIDIIEF congress was held four years earlier in Bordeaux, France.

The journal Science of Nursing and Health Practices - Science infirmière et pratiques en santé is produced by the RRISIQ. This bilingual, open-access, and free journal to authors and readers publishes two issues (June and December) every year since 2018. The journal also publishes articles on a continuous basis, i.e. articles accepted by the editorial team following the peer review process. Articles are double-blind peer-reviewed and focus on clinical, organizational, educational, or socio-political practices in the health domain.
